Hi! We’re Stephen and Andie, a travel couple creating U.S. road trip travel blog posts and vlogs as we go. Our latest adventures are taking us all over North America in our camper van Ace! We love travel, in general, and have been all over the world, but we especially love road trips and slow travel. We share travel tips and information, and hopefully entertain you with our many misadventures – like when the skylight flew off of our van on the freeway (we installed it wrong)! If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that things rarely go as planned, and that’s where some of the most fun and best experiences take place!

“Travel Matters” is the tagline on the Stephen & Andie travel vlogs, because it couldn’t be more true. Traveling gives depth and meaning to our lives, through the experiences and connections we create as we go. It MATTERS. But we also learn about the world through travel: what concerns and inspirations, dreams and fears we all share, and most importantly, how local communities are affected by travelers visiting them. These are the travel matters that we hope to learn more about and share as we do.  And now we have these platforms via YouTube and our site to share with even more people and build a community of fellow travel lovers, so we’re so glad you’re here!

Let’s Go Back To The Beginning…

We met at a club in Los Angeles, where we each went to see bands play. We both love live music – Stephen plays drums professionally and I (Andie) was the photo editor at a music magazine. But one passion we didn’t yet share was travel. I grew up traveling the world, thanks to my dad’s job (no, he wasn’t military, to answer the inevitable question 😉). Stephen, on the other hand, had never had a passport. But he did know he was interested in seeing more of the world, and he had hoped to do so while touring with bands. That eventually came to be, but not until a few years after I suggested he get a passport:

“I’ll get one when we have someplace to go,” Stephen insisted.

“Oh, we’ll have places to go!” I replied.

He conceded, got his first passport, and almost immediately after that my parents announced they were moving to Ecuador. Stephen and I made our first international trip as a couple to Quito, Ecuador – and even managed to go back recently and add the Amazon and Galapagos Islands to the itinerary! – and thus, the seed was planted.

It took many trips abroad together, some tours with bands, and a global pandemic before we started sharing our adventures, misadventures, and occasional wisdom online. We are well on our way to vlogging in all 50 states in the U.S., Canada, Ecuador, and St. Maarten. In 2025, we plan to take the blog and channel international full-time… but more on that later. We have Canada and the rest of the U.S. to road trip to first!

Please come back throughout the summer of 2024 for our Canada and Alaska adventures, and then in the fall to see us complete our 50 state mission.
